My Religion of Sorts.
My beliefs reside to the most part in the occult, mainly Chaos Magick. Chaos Magick is so-called, because it recognises the diversity and complexity of existence, and embraces it, not because they are just a bunch of 'hoodluns' in various attempts to ransack the world through magic.
Chaos Magick takes the aspects of all classifications of the occult and brings them down to the very basics, without extra bits on the side. It is not like Wicca (which is nowadays moving to a much more spiritual perspective, rather than magickal pursuits) or Paganism, as these both have specific gods and godesses for certain things, much like Christianity has all the saints and martyrs which people pray to (why don't they just pray straight to God? Is the Almighty sleeping (resting) or is He busy?) Chaos Magick relates more to the fact that the gods and godesses reside in us, as we are also part of nature, not just those who tend to it.
I won't go on about this, as there are too many aspects to discuss 10 minutes before dinner time. Some other time though, (and probably when I know slightly more about it,) I will do an updating spree on this column.
My Views of The Bible
A lot of people would consider it strange that I should say that I am very much against things in the bible. This is because they have possibly read the bible (if even they bothered) but have a 'selective amnesia' when it comes to some of the more, if i may say so, 'evil' things in it.
Firstly, in the bible there are several cases of 'men of God' killing innocent children. In some cases, for reasons that were beyond the poor child's control, such as their mothers being 'whores' (a whore being an unmarried woman, but one having had sex and children.)
There are also cases of unjustified rape in the bible. In those days, men could get away with the abuse of women because of the stupid, STUPID belief that a woman came from the man's rib, an was therefore inferior and the property of the man. Reguardless of the fact that NO ONE would be alive if it wasn't for one helluva lot of the woman's co-operation. Oh and might I mention that these cases were all caused by yet again, 'men of God'.
Also, in those days, if a man raped a woman, all he had to do was pay her father 50 silver sheckles, and he would be permitted to marry her. Imagine...
"Here you go sir, your fifty sheckles."
"Thank you, boy, now here is the hand of my daughter in marriage."
"But DADDY he just raped me!!!"
"It's ok, the money's good."
So if you are a female Christian and you are reading this, then let me just express how much I am surprised your ability to just except your inferiority to men.
